I just turned 54 this year and so far so good.

My husband and I each have grown daughters, and in recent years they have moved away to different parts of Wisconsin - but we get to see them pretty often and when we do we all have a great time. My youngest, Dana is pictured in the photo.

I opened a small gift shop nearly 6 years ago, starting out mainly with my hand-crafted beaded and crystal jewelry. I soon added Soy candles and began making my own candles by the second year. Soy candles led into many other natural types of bath and body products and over the next year I developed a line of soaps and creams based on mine and my family's need for moisturizing products for dry winter skin.

One of favorite ingredients is Shea Butter because of the wonderful things it does for the skin. I now only use raw or unrefined shea in my products - my main supply coming from a co-op of tribeswomen in Ghana - brought back to the U.S. by a dentist working with Doctors Without Borders.

Currently I am working on a line of custom Mineral Makeup for my shop - this is the pure stuff that has no chemicals or talc. I just love makeup anyway so the chance to mix my own color blends is just too much fun.

The next frontier is going to be Henna hair color and natural shampoos. I have been a redhead for about 20 years now and want to stay one for awhile longer but the chemical colors are starting to get too irritating so I may take a leap backward into the 70's with natural Henna color. I will keep you posted.

My other passion is fragrance. All kinds of fragrance. I love essential oils and use them alot, but they are limited in the scents you can achieve, so I also make use of the wonderful array of fragrance oil choices that are available to add a touch of scent to many of my products.

Fragrance, all by itself, has the ability to relax you and enhance your life.

Imagine being surrounded by the scent of Lilies of the Valley in the dead of winter. It is a real joy.
