Well I have been on the Henna bandwagon for 7 months now so I thought it was time for an update. Still loving my henna, I wouldn't want to use any other color. My henna shade has deepened a bit more than I really want though, so I am trying a different mix to get back to a lighter auburn. Repeat "whole head" applications can create a very deep, almost cherry red color. I switched to doing a "roots only" application to prevent any further darkening (uses a lot less henna too)and I am now experimenting with doing a combination of Henna and Cassia. Cassia is another natural herbal color that gives a soft god effect. Mixed with henna it gives varying degrees of strawberry through light auburn, depending on the color you are applying over. I started with about 1/4 Cassia to 3/4 henna but I think I will work up to a 50/50 blend in the future. I will post some pics soon.

Nice work! Thanks for sharing. I rinse in the shower myself. I worried that I would get too much henna on my skin and turn orange, but because I was running late one day I just jumped in the shower to rinse and everything came out just fine.
