Show off your recycled style. As I have been working on this site I have come across many interesting items but my favorites have to be things that are made using recycled materials of all kinds. Boozy Bangles by Cheri Smith

This Oregon artist takes discarded wine, beer and other glass and creates eye catching earrings. Through a careful process of breaking, cutting and shaping, the bottles are transformed into individual and unique shapes that are then tumbled with sand to smooth the edges and give it a soft look similar to beach glass.

Each piece is then drilled and and then completed with sterling silver findings, spacers and beads. Each earring is unique but is carefully matched up with another that is similar but not exactly the same.

These handcrafted earrings look modern but the tumbled glass gives them a softer look that I find very touchable. They are lightweight and comfortable and will add a bit of color and individuality.

Recycled Paper Earrings by La Alicia

You've probably seen items made from folded recycled paper, well, La Alicia has created a new look for this popular idea by stacking the folded pieces. This is recycled style with a contemporary, geometric look and is perfectly paired with glass beads and sterling silver findings.

These earring are made from junk mail, magazines, catalogs and any other kind of discarded paper. The paper is cut and folded into individual pieces that are then coated with a sealer to make them last and make them water resistant but not water proof.
