Earth Goddess Mineral Makeup Review
by Katie
EDITOR'S NOTES: Thank You Katie for your comments. Katie mentioned that she had sensitive skin and had problems with makeup. Many women with sensitive skin have problems with bismuth oxychloride, an ingredient that is often used in mineral makeup. If you are prone to allergic reactions from products, experience acne or have other issues with your skin you may want to choose products like Earth Goddess that does not contain this ingredient. This company offers a complete selection of mineral makeup from foundations, blushes, veils, concealers, eye shadow along with multi purpose minerals in a variety of colors. They also carry animal friendly makeup brushes. These are made from taklon a synthetic material that works and feels like animal hair. It is specially designed with very fine pock marks (they can't be seen) that resemble the ridges found on animal hair brushes that help to hold minerals on the brush. Earth Goddess offers a brush assortment along with the traditional brush used to apply mineral makeup, a kabuki brush. I bought a Kabuki brush made from taklon a few years ago and have been very happy with it. It works great and applies mineral makeup smoothly and has held up very well. Below is an ingredient list from their website of some of the products they offer: Mineral Foundations: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Zinc Oxide (may contain ultramarine blue) Tawney Veil: Serecite, Iron Oxides, Kaolin clay. Transluscent Veil: Serecite Mineral Blushes: Mica, Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide, May contain serecite Multipurpose Minerals: May contain one or more of the following depending on the shade- Mica, Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, Ultramarine Pink, Maganese Voilet, Silica, Ultramaribe Blue, Chromium Oxide Green, or ferric Ferrocyanide. Eyeliner Pencils: Cold-pressed Jojoba Oil, Castor Oil, candelilla wax, vitamin E, Mica, Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide. http://www.earthgoddessminerals.com/store/Default.asp Learn more about mineral makeup and other natural makeup choices by visiting natural cosmetics. |
