Lily Lolo Mineral Makeup
Lily LoLo Mineral Foundation
Absolutely gorgeous mineral makeup - love love love it and the prices are amazing!
I usually don't publish such short reviews and just delete them but I thought I would at least check out this company. Lily Lolo looked promising so I thought I might help fill in a little info about this makeup line.
Lily Lolo is an award winning UK mineral makeup company that is now available in the U.S. They were Elle Magazine's No. 1 Beauty Editor Pick in 2009, they have been featured in Vogue, Cosmo and Marie Clare and are a recent winner of the Green Beauty Bible Beauty Award.
Below are the ingredients from their mineral foundation:
Mica, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Ultramarine Blue.
They are simple and natural and safe like many brands of mineral makeup. No bismuth oxychloride that often cause irritation for sensitive women and no talc sometimes used as a filler in cheaper brands.
If you are looking for safe ingredients a true test for a product line can often be found when you look at products that contain moist ingredients like liquid foundation, mascara or in this case lip gloss. Most often it is the preservatives like parbens that are the problem but there were no problematic ingredients here either.
Natural Lip Gloss Ingredients: Oleic/linoleic/linolenic Polyglycerides, Ricinus Communis Seed Oil (Castor Seed Oil), Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sucrose Acetate Isobutyrate, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil (Jojoba Seed Oil), Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba Wax), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Aroma. May Contain: CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499 (Iron Oxides), CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 77742(Maganese Violet), CI 77019 (Mica).
One of the big benefits of mineral makeup is the safe natural ingredients that many products contain. Not all contain great ingredients mind you so read your labels. A good product also will give you great coverage that you can adjust and a natural look.
I have found that some women get turned off by mineral makeup because it can look too flat and cakey, or too shiny and some women feel like it settles in fine lines which is something none of us want but when you find good mineral makeup you will love how good you look.
Even though many mineral makeup products use primarily minerals they often look very different on the skin. If fashion and beauty magazines have good things to say about a product that are not paid endorsements that's good info. If a product meets or exceeds their expectations that something I would like to try.
