L'oreal Mineral Makeup Review
by Vicki
I wasn't sure how to use it at all. I find the application process difficult as the brush you use was on a flat oval which meant there was nothing to grip onto. It was quite messy and ended up with powder on the bed sheets and clothes. The product itself was very lightweight but I prefer to use a liquid foundation as then you feel that you have a better coverage. I didn't feel like i was wearing anything on my face and felt the need to constantly check in the mirror to see if I was actually wearing foundation. I would recommend this foundation to someone who likes a light coverage but I am not convinced that mineral makeup is best so I will therefore be sticking to my liquid foundation in the future! Editor's Note: Thanks Vicki! Here are the ingredients used in L'Oreal Bare Naturale Mineral Foundation... Titanium Dioxide 3.0%; Zinc Oxide 5.0% ; Inactive Ingredients: Talc; Boron Nitride; Dimethicone; Copernica Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax; Cetyl Dimethicone; Trimethylsiloxysilcate; Trisocetyl Citrate; Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice; Tocopherol; Panthenol; May Contain: Titanium Dioxide; Zinc Oxide; Bismuth Oxychloride; Iron Oxides This makeup is rated a 3 which is considered a moderate hazard on the Skin Deep Database. The micronized minerals which gave this product a higher rating are commonly considered higher risk because of concerns over inhalation. In this case it is not known if the minerals are nano sized which is considered a real unknown and potentially dangerous or if they are micronized which are larger particles and considered safer. This product does contain bismuth oxychloride, a safe natural ingredient but for many women is an allergen. L'Oreal has been asked to take part in the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics and sign up as a commitment to providing products using safe ingredients and so far has not signed. They also continue to do animal testing. Click here to read or post comments. Loreal Bare Naturale Mineral Makeup Review

Evens out skintone nicely. Supplied brush is good if you don't need the usual handle. Concealer is amazing! Click here to read or post comments. |
