Mineral Makeup Reviews - Various Different Products

I've ordered sample foundations and eyeshadows from a dozen or so companies. I think Alima and Earth's Beauty had the worst eyeshadows. They had little pigment, dusted off very easily and didn't blend well.

So far I think Aromaleigh and Everyday Minerals have the best pigmented, long-wearing eyeshadows.

Lauress' foundation went on very heavily and looked chalky on my skin. It also comes in excessive packaging. Is it really necessary to hermetically seal sample containers with cardboard and plastic just to mail them?

Many mineral makeup are based on very few, pure ingredients. Lauress is no different. Below is an ingredient list from one of their foundations:

Ingredients:
Zinc Oxide
Mica
Titanium Dioxide
Iron Oxides
Ultramarines
Lauroyl Lysine

Lauroyl Lysine is an ingredient I am not familiar with. I found out it is an amino acid derivative and is used in products to improve the quality of the application. It may be why this reviewer found this product heavy. The mineral makeup I have used have not contained this ingredient and I have not found any of them to feel heavy.

Excessive packaging is such a waste. Better to choose a company who also pays attention to this too.
