Terra Firma Cosmetics Review

I Ordered Terra Firma Mineral Makeup H2O. It is a loose mineral in powder form but is infused with their naturally occuring nutrient water. I love the way it fills in my pores and lines. No shiny Bismuth. It didn't matter how much I put on it looked great.Their natural lipstains are wonderful, primrose is my favorite.

Terra Firma is a signer of the Compact for Safe Cosmetics and does not do animal testing. This particular product which is part of a complete line of cosmetics contains more ingredients than most mineral makeup. It is rated a 5 on the Skin Deep Database.

Most mineral makeups get a higher rating anyway because there are concerns over ingredients that can be inhaled. The silica (sand), used in this product, when ground fine has the possibility of inhalation along with concerns over the phenoxyethanol contributes to this products rating of a 5 which puts it in the mid range.

According to their website the nutrient water penetrates the skin moisturizing and providing vitamins to nourish and protect the skin.

I was referred to the Olympia boutique, Terra Firma Cosmetics, where my co-worker gets facials on a regular basis and really like the Esthetician there. I recieved a gift certificate for a facial from her and had my first one ever and LOVED it! It was so relaxing! I loved the product so much after Lindsey sent me home with samples that I came back to purchase a few of my favorite things! Very reasonably priced and works great! I recommend getting a facial to every woman! A great routinal treat for you and your skin!

I love the Terra Firma products, especially those for oily/combination skin. Since switching to the Terra Firma line of cleansers and mineral foundation my skin is noticably more balanced, I have fewer outbreaks, and even my friends and family have commented on my skin and appearance. I also love supporting a small, family owned business that believes in the importance of natural skincare. No worries about parabens, sulfates, or other icky ingredients. BRAVO!

I love the Terra Firma products and their customer service is outstanding. I live in Ohio and usually receive my order in two days. I really like that you can get samples before ordering and try the products for color. Thanks for a great product.

Not Impressed

I Recently checked out Terra Firma's new boutique downtown Olympia. I was told by a friend who lives near the Raymond boutique that they have an Esthetician on staff who gives great facials. I made an appointment with Lindsey and had a facial! My experience was great, and I loved the way my skin felt afterwards! I was told that I would receive a discount off products in the store after having a service done with Lindsey. I was very set on a few products to purchase that day. As I picked up and put down products, they seemed to be quite dusty and the shelves they were placed on were too. I declined to buy anything that visit. I was really looking forward to referring my friends to the downtown boutique, since we are all from this area and its much closer than Raymond.

I also love these products! I'm a busy active mom as well and can where the foundation everyone and it feels and looks like your own skin but better. I order the hydra mineral foundation in golden med for summer and mix w/ light/med for winter, also love the mineral blush in Joy and refreshed concealer. Great company and wonderful products.

Great product and wears well. Skin deep rates this a 3, not a 5. Maybe the rating has changed since the original review was first posted; I don't know but both of their foundations are awesome! Love this company!

I live in the small town where Terra Firma was created by a set of sisters (both moms). They are real people and really care about quality. I received their product as a thank you gift once and was amazed. I don't like wearing make up, but this just doesn't even feel like it's on. I can garden in it, sweat in it, and go out in it. It stays on without looking like I'd dipped my face in flour. It lasts forever, so though the first purchase is a bit more than one might want to spend, it'll last you months and months. I'm a cheapskate, but the products these ladies have created are WELL worth the money- not to mention that you're supporting a non-Walmart, homecraft business. The makeup's awesome!
