Too Much Stuff Lying Around?
Clear Your Clutter With Feng Shui.

too much clutter

Does clutter make you
feel stressed.

What if you could help to relieve that stress if you
clear your clutter with feng shui?

It seems like everyday is a constant battle with the stuff around me. Books, magazines, articles, catalogs I need to read that get left sitting around not only create clutter but make me feel like I am not working hard enough. I just can't seem to get to them all and the pile grows higher.

I prefer to try to alleviate this day to day stress with natural stress relief methods and attacking some of the causes is my first step.

I am far from an expert on feng shui but I do understand that the clutter in my life does add to my stress levels and that's not healthy.

Feng shui has shown me that clutter creates stagnant energy. It blocks the flow of chi which in feng shui is vital energy. Everything around us has energy some positive some negative and we react to all that energy. With the use of feng shui we can make sure we are in the natural flow of
chi energy.

Feng shui makes sense.

When I am in cluttered surroundings, I'm uncomfortable, edgy. Drained even. The energy of this environment doesn't feel good.

While open uncluttered areas do make me feel energized like I can breathe and definitely calmer.

This ancient practice has received much interest over the last decade. Not only by architects, designers but even medical facilities are using feng shui principles to create environments that promote the flow of chi.

Feng shui can be complicated to learn but there are many great books and websites on the subject that can help you understand it fairly quickly.

I know you're probably thinking you don't have the time to learn something new right now but applying just some of the principles may be enough. It's well worth it to me and my health to take a little time and learn something not only useful but fun.

A quick primer on feng shui

To make it easier I have put together a few sites which I think will give you a quick understanding and show you how you can clear your clutter with feng shui.

  • This article is a WebMD feature which discusses how feng shui is used to create healthy environments both in our homes and in medical facilities.

  • It's My Nature has a whole series of articles on natural stress relief and this one about feng shui gives a good basic understanding of how this works.
  • Clear Your Clutter With Feng Shui by Karen Kingston is a handy book to get you started. It's a quick read with an easily understandable approach that helped me understand why I had some of my clutter and where were the best places start to get rid of it. I found my copy at Amazon.com.

  • This 2 minute video clearly explains the origins of feng shui.

  • Fast Feng Shui has the best collection of articles on how to clear your clutter with feng shui. This is a great site for a very user friendly way to understand feng shui and all it can do for you.

If you are already using a water fountain to help you relax, Fast Feng shui will help you use it as a part of feng shui to help you create a harmonious environment.

  • If you have clutter that is weighing you down, why not experiment and clear your clutter with feng shui? You not only will have the benefit of a cleaner environment but maybe with a simple cleaning you can make room for good things to come in to your life.
