Herbatint Permanent Haircolor 5N

by Jean
(Guelph, On, Canada)

I wanted to get away from using products with harsher chemicals, both for the environment and for my own health. I found Herbatint to be an easy to use and true in color to the chart.

The dye had almost no odor which was great for me as I am allergic to alot of scents. However, the the packet of Royal Cream conditioner supplied along with the dye was highly perfumed! Today
there are so many people with perfume allergies that I feel strongly that Herbatint needs to adjust this oversight.

I will probably use the product again but I will use my own conditioner.

EDITOR'S NOTES:

Thanks for the review Jean.

Herbatint is a permanent safer and more natural hair coloring. It does contain ppd to help bind the color to the hair. This synthetic ingredient does a good job but many women find that they are sensitive to this ingredient and reactions can range from mild to very severe requiring medical attention.

Herbatint does not contain some of the other ingredients like resorcinol, ammonia, parabens or perfume although keep in mind what Jean said if you are fragrance sensitive.

Below are the ingredients for Herbatint:
