Almond Oil Sugar Scrub

by Scott
(Delaware, OH, USA)

This recipe is one that I made up myself. I wanted a sugar scrub that I could use year-around for my feet, as they get really dry and rough on the heels and balls.

I take 1 cup of Sugar In The Raw brand sugar, because it is unrefined and has large grains, and mix it with sweet almond oil (any brand will do). The amount of sweet almond oil is really your preference. If you like a thick scrub that will stay on your foot by itself or if you prefer a more liquid version (I personally do) that you can move around easily, just add a little bit of almond oil at a time and stir until you get the consistency you desire.

Once it is mixed up, it will store very well for quite a while. The batch I made up several months ago is still good, and I just store it under my bathroom sink in a plastic bowl with a lid. I personally just use the scrub on my feet and I use it like a soap with a washcloth to exfoliate my heels and balls of my feet. It works great and smells nice and mellow.
