Aubrey Organics Color Me Natural Dark Brown

by Mrs. Sugar
(Wisconsin)

I tried Aubrey Organics Color Me Natural Dark Brown after some severe scalp reactions to permanent hair dyes. (Both salon and drugstore) After three attemps to cover a minimal amount of gray, I gave up on the chemical hair baths. An irritated scalp and brittle hair sent me on a quest for something more gentle.

I tried Aubrey, since I have enjoyed their products for many years. The application of hair paste is somewhat messy, but yields beautiful results. My hair is now a gorgeous multicolored brown. Grays are blended in just fine. I highly recommend this product. Aubrey customer service can answer any questions you may have.

Editor's note:

Aubrey Organics offers the most natural hair color I've seen. The ingredient list is very simple and natural.

INGREDIENTS: Indigofera tinctoria, Lawsonia inermis alba, Emblica officinalis, Eclipta alba, Acacia cathechu.

These ingredients are all plants making this a very safe product and Aubrey never performs animal testing.

Unfortunately, there are only two colors available: Color Me Natural Dark Brown and Color Me Natural Mahogany. And the company does suggest that if your hair is more than 20% gray that you contact them for special instructions.

I am so glad to find this product, I have medium brown hair with blond highlights I could still highlight but was getting to blond, I am so allergic to hair dye!! Rhis product was different , it make my hair darker and the highlights came through as light brown, I have thinner hair so it was not hard to wash out,my hair is shiny and has some body now. For now I love it and it covered the gray fairly well still see a few strands but I have about 10% gray here and there. I hope I get 3 wks out of the color. Feels good to have a solid color again, would recomened if hight allergic to all other products.

What a waste of a Sunday!

Just spent 2hr 30 dying my hair with your dark brown hair dye. What an absolute waste of time and money. I follwed the instructions carefully and meticulously but not only has it not changed the colour of my hair, it has also not covered any greys at all. My hair is slightly grey around the front so I took care to make sure this area was fully coated using a comb and fingers as directed. I left it on for the full 2 hours and spent ages washing the stuff out. No change at all to my grey hairs - I could have spent the 2hr30 doing anything more fun and less expensive and still got the same results as this. So unimpressed and annoyed by this complete waste of time and money.

A salon in Appleton Wisconsin called Hair Designers has two stylists Kristy and Cindy that use an Organic no ammonia haircolor. It covers gray very well, and has many color options.

There has to be something better

The dark brown was a nice color, but it did not cover my gray. I have naturally black hair with gray around my temples. It did not color my black roots either. The powder smells like old raw potatoes and after washing it twice, it still smells a little. The powder turns to grit and is hard to wash out. Not the best product if you want to cover gray and you have thick hair.
