Simple Yet Effective Skin Exfoliant

by kenya
(stockton ca usa)

Plain and simply, my favorite skin exfoliant is sugar. I take two cups of sugar and add water until it makes a paste. I pour a small amount in my hands and rub it all over my body. The roughness of the sugar scrubs away the dead skin, and since my skin is sensitive and itches all the time, this is a form of relief. Just make sure you rinse thoroughly or you'll have every honey bee following you around!

I think that anyone can use this because I have stated before I have extremely sensitive skin. I even tried it on my three year old, and the whole time, he didn't move or say a word, which doesn't happen often.

Editor's note:

Simple, easy and effective plus if you are in the mood and want to experiment you can try any number of additions. Try replacing the water with oil such as olive or almond for something more moisturizing or try adding essential oils for their aromatherapy or skin benefits.

I have found when working with sugar to add liquids a little at a time to get the right mixture. You can always add more sugar if need be if mixture gets too thin.
